Bloomberg reported that the parents of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) are seeking ways to ask US President Donald Trump for a pardon. SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud and other charges and is currently serving his sentence at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. It is reported that SBF's parents have met with lawyers and other people known to have connections with the Trump side. The SBF and the White House declined to comment. In the cryptocurrency industry, it has been predicted that SBF will be pardoned as much as Trump pardoned Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road.
