US SEC asks ETH spot ETFs to update 19b-4 filings

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Division of Trading and Markets has notified asset managers to revise and resubmit their 19b-4 filings (a formal request for review) for ethereum spot ETFs, according to crypto news source X Accounts Database. “With a number of ETH spot ETFs due for approval this week, the request for an updated filing is an indication that approval is likely,” industry insiders told CoinDesk, “but it doesn't mean it's 100% certain. An S-1 (securities filing) must also be approved, which could take an indefinite amount of time for regulators to approve.” Earlier, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said, “I'm raising my forecast to 75% chance that the SEC will approve an Ethereum spot ETF this month. We heard today that the SEC could do a 180-degree turn on the issue.”
