Crypto data provider Alternative's self-assessed "Fear-Greed Index" fell two points from the previous day to 77. Despite the deterioration in sentiment, the extreme greed phase remains. The index indicates extreme fear in the market when it approaches zero, and extreme optimism when it approaches 100. The Fear and Greed Index is calculated based on volatility (25%), trading volume (25%), social media mentions (15%), surveys (15%), bitcoin market cap (10%) and Google searches (10%).
