US SEC Gary Gensler Says Past BTC Spot ETF Approval Has No Impact on ETH ETFs

In an interview with CNBC, US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler said that the decision to approve a bitcoin spot ETF will have no impact on the future of Ethereum, according to The Block. "The decision we made in January (bitcoin spot ETF) is in one set of filings. And now there's another set of filings waiting for our decision. I'm not going to get ahead of that. That's for the commission to discuss and review," he added. "The SEC is value neutral," he continued, "We approved about 11 products en masse in January. But that's not the same as approving bitcoin," he stressed.
