Crypto analysts believe that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is unlikely to approve an XRP spot ETF, Cointelegraph reports. They cite the fact that XRP does not have a futures ETF, unlike BTC and ETH, and that the SEC and Ripple are still in litigation. "Until the SEC recognizes that XRP is not a security, approval of an XRP ETF is not feasible," said Townsend Lansing, head of product at Coinshares. Scott Johnsson, partner at Van Buren Capital, agrees: "I think it will take new leadership at the SEC (for an XRP ETF to be approved).
