BlackRock, a major player in the bitcoin spot ETF market, has hired former GSR Market Research analyst Matt Kunke as director and product strategist for crypto ETFs, after the crypto market maker predicted a 75% chance of approval for an Ethereum spot ETF in May. Prior to GSR, Kunke worked at JPMorgan and Credit Suisse. "Based on our optimistic outlook, including the Grayscale lawsuit victory, we believe there is a 75% chance that an ETH spot ETF will be approved by May. If the SEC denies approval, there will be an inevitable appeal."
Meanwhile, Ethereum's Dencun upgrade is scheduled for the 13th. With bitcoin hitting a record ATH on the eve of its halving, the spotlight is on Ethereum, which is getting a boost from the ETF and Dencun upgrade.
