According to Eric Balchunas, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is likely to approve a bitcoin spot ETF before Jan. 11 (local time). However, he noted that this is not a certainty. James Seifart, another Bloomberg ETF analyst, previously stated that a Bitcoin spot ETF is most likely to be approved between January 8 and January 10.
