NFT marketplace MagicEden launches multi-chain wallet supporting SOL-BTC-ETH-MATIC

MagicEden's NFT marketplace has launched a multi-chain wallet supporting the Solana, Bitcoin, Polygon and Ethereum blockchains. The platform will launch a beta version for early testers in November 2023, and on Friday announced plans for general availability. Developed in partnership with Exodus, it allows users to maintain control of their crypto assets through their own custodial wallet.

Designed to provide a user-friendly experience, the wallet offers instant cross-chain swaps, NFT portfolio management, and the ability to trade NFTs directly from the wallet. "As we've made great strides in the NFT and audience space, we've seen that users struggle to seamlessly manage and collect NFTs across multiple chains," the team explained in the announcement. To incentivize early users, Magic Eden will be airdropping in-wallet mint from NFT projects like Klaynosaurs, Generate Ape Academy and Bodogos throughout February, as well as temporarily offering other perks.

Initially serving the Solana NFT community, MagicEden expanded to support polygonal NFTs in November 2022, and added Bitcoin and Ethereum as its third and fourth supported chains, respectively, in March 2023. This made MagicEden the top Solana NFT marketplace by daily trading volume at the end of last year, surpassing Tensor.
