The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) has reaffirmed its stance that “Chinese investors are not allowed to invest in Hong Kong cryptocurrency spot ETFs,” according to CoinDesk. Earlier, Harvest Global Investments, the issuer of Hong Kong's Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) spot ETFs, said it would explore ways to allow mainland Chinese investors to invest in crypto spot ETFs within the next two years.
In response, the market recorded net outflows. According to data from financial information platform Farside Investors, about $39.3 million in net outflows were recorded in 13 days across six Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This statistical data from Farside Investors is compiled from multiple sources, including ETF issuers and external data providers, and includes some estimates.
